Quiet Moments

I am usually up before everyone else in our busy house so I like to grab a few precious moments to savor the quiet.  I brew a cup of my favorite coffee and read a tiny bit while I eat breakfast.  I am working on a wool scarf, and I always try to work a few rows before I dash off to work.  These rituals get me calm for the day and I feel lost without them.  How do you start your day?

A little calm and a lot of coffee--the only way to start the day.

Your knitting looks wonderful. I wish it were relaxing for me but I have to turn to crochet for that.

I start my day by pushing my husband out of the bed, yelling at my children, and guzzling my green tea before I dash off to my morning yoga followed by either my Botox treatment or my pedicure or facial. NOT.
Honestly, Alicia, if I don't get my minute and a half of sanity while I drink my morning coffe, the world couldn't handle me. Unlike you, though, attempting to knit when my eyes have yet to become uncrossed would be a bad idea.
I just posted too. I liked to see your comment the other day. I am hoping that you are done with one of your jobs and are back to Blogland. I have missed you so.
